Shaftesbury, Dorset, SP7

Permanent full-time Nanny position, 29.5 - 45 hours per week


Permanent Nanny position 29.5 hours per week term-time, 45 hours per week school holidays.

A professional, relaxed Nanny is required to provide sole charge care for a lovely family based in rural Dorset, Shaftesbury for 3 children aged 5 (girl), 3 (girl) and 2 years old (boy). Call the Nanny have worked with the family previously. This lovely position is to start ASAP.

Working hours are 29.5 hours per week during term-time (39 weeks of the year) and 45 hours per week during school holidays (13 weeks of the year). Please see breakdown of hours below. The nanny will receive 28 days holiday pro-rata. There will also be opportunities for overtime if this suits the nanny.

The 5 year old attends school and the 3 year old will be joining her in September. She currently attends nursery from 8.45am-2.45pm Tuesday through Friday. The 2 year old attends nursery 8.45am- 2.45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Duties will include school and nursery runs am and pm, the provision of age-appropriate activities with opportunities for lots of outdoor exploration. Housework duties include family laundry, general house tidying and keeping the children's bedrooms tidy. The family have a cleaner therefore maintenance only is needed.

The nanny will be required to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for the children when they are there, therefore the nanny should be a keen cook with the ability to cook tasty, nutritious meals. Although the parents are keen and experienced cooks so will often do the cooking when at home.

The ideal nanny will be warm, caring, organised and happy to use their initiative in day to day routines. Must be an experienced nanny with previous experience looking after multiple children under the age of 5. A confident driver is essential due to the school/nursery runs.

Must hold a current DBS police check and paediatric first aid certificate with excellent checkable references. The family’s preference is for live-out but will certainly consider candidates for live-in if the dynamic works.

The nanny needs to be available to do the odd (rare) overnight and babysitting.

Permanent part-time Nanny position 22.5 hours per week


Call the Nanny is working with a lovely family who require support with two children boy 7 years and girl 10 years old. Nanny required 3 weekdays 7am until 10am and 3pm until 7:30pm. This is a split shift and the nanny can go home between shifts. Family is flexible on which days the nanny provides. This lovely role is working alongside the parents caring for the children.

Family has a 10 year old girl who has a brain injury so requires 1-2-1 support. She is in a mainstream school and a delightful girl who has some delayed development and behaviour challenges. Nanny and parent to work as a team caring for the children.

Duties are to support the morning routine, support getting the children up, dressed and ready for school. Nanny to accompany parent in the family car. On return from school support with tidying and nursery duties. Afternoons include school collection, support with play and activities, support the dinner, bath and bedtime routine. Position is mainly working alongside a parent caring for a child each in the family home. Within time nanny to have sole charge outside the home and take the girl to activities.

Position is to start ASAP, although notice periods considered.

The right nanny will hold previous professional childcare experience with checkable references. A childcare qualification and previous experience working in the home environment is an advantage. Experience caring for children with additional needs is an advantage.

Nanny to be able to commit to the family long term. A car driver is desirable.

Family will offer up to £20 gross per an hour, £23,400 gross per a year depending on qualifications and experience.

Temporary Nanny position 30 hours per week


Temporary part-time Nanny position, 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am-2pm

Initial contract 4 weeks – high possibility of this being extended

A temporary Nanny is required to support a lovey family in Winton. The family have recently moved from overseas where they had the same Nanny for 3 years. They have twin girls aged almost 8 years old, born premature at 28 weeks . One twin has cerebral palsy and the other twin has global delay. The family are looking for support from a Nanny for 4 weeks initially whilst they apply for school places for the twins. The contract could be extended if this process takes longer and the Nanny is happy to stay, however the first 4 weeks are crucial. Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am-2pm, although the family will consider revised days/less hours for the right candidate. Call the Nanny have met the family who are extremely welcoming and looking for someone caring and loving to become part of the family. If the same Nanny could stay with the family when the girls start school that would be a bonus.

The ideal Nanny will be comfortable caring with children with additional needs and will enjoy spending time working on the girls cognitive development and providing them with a fun, engaging day. The child with cerebral palsy will require the Nanny to do some stretching exercises and walking on a daily basis. She uses splints and a walker and the Nanny will be happy to encourage use of this. Assistance will also be required with toileting (both weigh 15kg). Both girls are able to eat normally and need to eat regular, small size portions of healthy food. Mum works as a doctor locally and dad works from home in a separate office. Although the position is sole charge, the dad will always be on hand to support the Nanny if required and to help with outings. One of the twins uses a pushchair when out and about.

A Nanny with SEN experience would be beneficial, although this is not essential as the parents will give full training. The most important thing for them is for the Nanny to be warm, adaptable and patient with the children. The girls are very happy, calm children and love singing, music and books. They are prone to respiratory infections, therefore excellent hygiene and a non-smoker is essential.

Temporary Nanny position 23 hours per week - possibility of becoming a permanent role


A temporary Nanny is required to help a busy family in Dorchester with their 4 children aged 6 months, 4, 7 and 9 years old. The parents run a business locally and are looking for some support initially for 3 months. If things go well then there is the possibility of this being extended to a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will provide stimulating, age-appropriate activities and learning opportunities for the children, The Nanny will enjoy taking the youngest children to activities in the local area as well as providing lots of opportunities for learning in the home. The children enjoy being outside so exploring nature is welcomed. The younger children enjoy the park, walking in the woods, the library and going to the café whilst the older children are at school. The Nanny should be able to help with school runs for the older two children. A car driver with a clean licence is a bonus but not essential.

The family are looking to appoint someone with kind, caring, loving and fun nature. The candidate should be experienced and reliable/trustworthy and must be very practical and organised. Typical Nanny duties apply such as doing the children’s laundry, tidying their toys/bedrooms and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy after use. Preparation of the children’s meals is required at times. The older children love cooking.

Applicants must hold previous professional childcare experience with multiple children of similar ages. A childcare qualification and previous experience working in the home environment is essential. Must have a clean and up to date enhanced DBS police check and a paediatric first aid certificate. The Nanny must also be able to provide excellent, checkable references.

Salary: £14 - £16 gross per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Temporary part-time Nanny position - 6 month contract with the possibility of this being extended


A professional, experienced Nanny is required to support a lovely family in Christchurch. The mother and her two girls aged 5 and 10 years old have recently been involved in a Road Traffic Accident. More information can be provided on application. The mother would like a nanny to work alongside her in a supportive role as her injuries are limiting her ability to carry out everyday tasks. The family have a cleaner and there are therapists involved with the care of the mother and eldest child who have sustained physical injuries.

The contract will initially be for a 6 month period and may be extended depending on the recovery of the mother. The ideal candidate will be kind, warm, friendly and supportive with a positive attitude. The role consists of working split shifts Monday to Friday so that the nanny can assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups. During the school holidays, the family would ideally like the Nanny to work 3-4 days with the suggested hours being 10am-3pm but this is negotiable and the family can offer some flexibility.

Duties will be to drop off/pick up the two younger children from their local infant school in Burton. The Nanny will then bring the children home to give them dinner, provide a fun afternoon and help with reading/homework. Light housekeeping duties will include organising, cleaning the kitchen/lounge after use, doing the family laundry and cooking for the children. During the school holidays the Nanny will plan fun and stimulating days both inside and outside the home.

Although the children are the main priority, understanding home management is important as the mother is finding this difficult due to her injuries. Must be a driver with a full, clean driving licence. Must hold a current clean DBS police check and paediatric first aid certificate with excellent checkable references. Ad hoc babysitting/nanny work


Babysitters and nannies required for various bookings throughout Dorset and Hampshire. The bookings will take place either in families' homes, hotels or at event venues. Babysitters/nannies will receive £12-16 per hour with a minimum booking time of 3 hours.

Candidates are required to hold professional childcare experience, excellent references, a current DBS police check, a current paediatric first aid certificate and clean driving licence.
